TBT: The 1997 - 1998 Season

Side Show, The Lion King, Cabaret, and a brand new musical from a critically-acclaimed rock musician/lyricist making his Broadway debut.  Sounds like a great 4-show weekend in NYC, right?  Well, this fall, you can do just that.

And you could have done the same thing 17 years ago!

In 1997-98, it looked like this...                        In 2014-15, it looks like this...

Side Show

The Lion King

Cabaret

Paul Simon          Sting

The Capeman          The Last Ship

  1. Great idea and really interesting, thx. So you know, never stop a running horse. For germany, from where i'am writing, you can compare the same musical with a decade between for some of them, first of all i have to mention the lion king and starlight express. Many musicals more like Dance of the Vampires, Mamma Mia oder Phantom of the Opera are having longer or shorter time-outs and then coming back, often in another city. Regards!
