Which of these amazing cast members will you give a "prom-posal" to? Broadway's newest original musical is now in performances, and the cast is now competing for a spot on the BROADWAY HEAT HOTTEST LIST! (To see who's made the list so far this season click HERE.)

There are 8 groups of cast members, and you have to pick one from each group, and you must click "Finish Survey" at the end in order to make your vote count!  Good news! You don't have to have seen the show to vote! You may vote more than once, too.

Broadway's HOTTEST: Head Over Heels Round 1

The new season is off to a rockin' start already with Head Over Heels, which started previews last Saturday at the newest/oldest theater on Broadway, The Hudson.  And the search for this season's hottest musical performers starts today!

Many of you sent in some great suggestions for streamlining the contest (thanks!) and here's how it goes this time around:

• Each cast will compete within itself like a tournament bracket.
• All of them, no matter what level of role they have, will  be randomly paired up.
• In Round 1, YOU will pick who you think is the HOTTEST of the pair.
• You'll vote again in Round 2 from pairs of the pool of Round 1 winners.
• You'll keep voting in rounds of pairs, until we are down to one pair. (The number of rounds will vary, depending on the size of the cast.
• The winner of the last round will be the HOTTEST cast member of the show.
• At the end of the season, each show's winner will compete in one final tournament to be named the ABSOLUTELY HOTTEST BROADWAY CAST MEMBER OF 2018-2019!

REMEMBER:

• You have to pick ONE from EACH pair (no skipping pairs!) AND click "FINISH SURVEY" at the end of the poll.
• You don't have to have seen the show to vote! There are pictures of each cast member included!
• The poll program I use is set for your complete anonymity. I can only see the votes, no data is being collected.
• I can't stress this enough: YOU MUST CLICK "FINISH SURVEY" AFTER YOU ANSWER EACH QUESTION. If you don't, your vote won't count. Over the whole season last year, there were more than 200 un-submitted votes!

The Broadway Olympics: TEAM Carousel

Love it (I did!) or hate it, the new Broadway revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Carousel is the talk of the Rialto these days.  Better to have people talking than ignoring it, right?  This week, we are looking to talk about the show in a much more carefree (if superficial) way.  Let's talk about how HOT the cast is - looks, certainly, but also talent, career trajectory, and overall charisma, too!  All season, your votes have qualified leading, featured and ensemble cast members for The Broadway Olympics, and you've awarded gold, silver and bronze medals to the casts of the seven musicals to open this season.  (Check them out HERE.) All of this is leading up to the BIG VOTE to see who makes the 2017-2018 Broadway Team!

Your task this week is to vote for Team Carousel in the Leading Actor, Leading Actress, Featured Actor, Featured Actress, and Male and Female Ensemble/Stand-by/Swing categories. The top three vote-getters win the medals; categories with fewer than three nominees will earn medals based on the percentage of votes received.

The Broadway Olympics: Team MEAN GIRLS

Ultra bitchy girls, clueless parents, a couple of outcasts and a burn book are all the ingredients of the new musical Mean Girls which opened yesterday on the Great Pink Way (only on Wednesdays, natch!).  To get us in the mood and celebrate, let's select which cast members are HOT enough to earn the gold, silver and bronze in the 2018 Broadway Olympics! This time around, the cast is competing in the Leading Actress, Featured Actor, Featured Actress, Male Ensemble/Swing/Stand-by and Female Ensemble/Swing/Stand-by events.

So, who in Mean Girls is fetch (HOT) enough to make the team, and who makes the Burn Book?

The season is really heating up now!  This week, the latest revival to open, Side Show, is ready for your HOT or NOT votes!  So far you've selected the finalists for this year's competition for the Holler If You Hear Me, On the Town and The Last Ship.  To see who you voted for, go to the "Hot or Not" tab at the top of the page!) Some of this week's cast members may be difficult to recognize without their special side show make-up, but have no fear, I've included their character names with their head shots.  So who among them is the hottest of the hot or the nottest of the not?  Your votes decide! 

For the 2014 - 2015 season, I've made a change to the way things will be done, and I hope they make it even easier for you to cast your vote!  As you consider each cast member, all you need to do is click either "HOT" or "NOT".  That is it! Of course, what you think is hot or not is up to you.  Is it all just about looks?  Or is it also about talent? Performance? Potential?  To me, it's probably all of these things combined.  BUT THIS IS ALL UP TO YOU!

You asked for it, and I think it'll be fun!  I've gotten tons of requests for including long-running shows in the HOT or NOT contest, and so in between this season's polls, we'll select candidates for THE HOTTEST VINTAGE BROADWAY CAST 2015!
