The 2011-2012 Season in Review Part I: Off-Broadway

PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO VOTE IN THIS MONTH'S POLL AND
VOTE IN THE CURRENT ROUND OF "HOT/HOTTER"!  BOTH ARE TO YOUR LEFT!

As this season draws to its frenzied close, I have started to gather my thoughts for year end analysis - the good, the bad, the ugly.  I just realized (duh) that over the next three weekends I'll be taking in 8 Broadway and off-Broadway shows.  And there is a decent likelihood that I'll be seeing a few more in May.  So there isn't a whole lot of time to talk about everything!

So to get things started, here is a review of the shows I've seen this season - off Broadway (I'll talk Broadway and regional theatre separately).  Keep in mind two of my goals for this season - to see every new production of a musical or musical revival on Broadway, and to see more shows off-Broadway.  I'm glad (and very fortunate) to report that I have successfully accomplished both goals.
