Ms. Broadway November 2020: Girl From the North Country's Luba Mason

Due to some technical issues throughout November, we're going to do a little catch up this week. Thank you, 2020.

I first saw Luba Mason, current star of Girl From the North Country, in The Will Rogers Follies, though to be honest, I didn't notice her specifically. Believe it or not, that's a real compliment - she was a "New Ziegfeld Girl" and had she stood out, that would have been a bad thing. But I did notice her in the '95 revival of How to Succeed... when she made her entrance as Hedy LaRue and steamrolled he stage presence over everyone in her path. Considering she shared the stage with both Megan Mullally and Lillias White, that is really saying something. I've seen her twice since - as Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde, and multiple roles in The Capeman. Fingers crossed, we'll get to see Ms. November 2020 in 2021.
