Ms. Broadway July 2019: Moulin Rouge!'s Karen Olivo

I've had a small crush on Karen Olivo ever since I first saw her off-Broadway almost 15 years ago in Miracle Brothers. She has a strength that pervades any performance she gives, and yet, she also has a vulnerability and grace that mesmerizes. She's amassed quite a career on and off Broadway, as well as in film and television. Now, she's back on the Great White Way for the first time since her Tony-winning turn as Anita in West Side Story. These days, she's setting the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on fire nightly as the tragic heroine Satine in Moulin Rouge! Congratulations, Ms. Olivo! You are Ms. Broadway July 2019!
