Ms. Broadway: November 2019: Tina's Adrienne Warren

Ms. Broadway November 2019 joins a growing list of actresses taking on the role of iconic singer. Like Stephanie and Ana and others before her, Adrienne Warren has the daunting task of creating a role that requires a certain amount of mimicry in mannerism, speech and vocal styling while still crafting a character that brings a bit of herself on the stage, too. Though this is only her third Broadway show, she's certainly made a name for herself on both sides of the Atlantic. Stateside, she's a Tony Award nominee, while on the West End, she's been nominated for both the WhatsOnStage and Laurence Olivier Awards. It is her star-turn in London that brings her back to New York, and perhaps more awards nominations. Hey, if Tina Turner herself approves, I'd guess it's likely! Congratulations!
