What a season it has been so far... 22 openings by the end of this week (plus 2 one night events). Sounds good, right? As of this writing, all but one of those shows has closed, will be closed or has its limited run end scheduled. The only new show with no end scheduled is Annie, itself hardly a must-see ticket. (If there is any justice, The Mystery of Edwin Drood will pick up the box office pace and extend!) Not that this is new, unfortnately. Last season, at this time, only two shows were not already closed or scheduled to: Other Desert Cities and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.
