Dame Gillian Lynne passed away today, July 1, 2018, at the age of 92. She choreographed seven Broadway shows, including two iconic productions,
Cats and
The Phantom of the Opera. I will never forget the breathtaking Jellicle Ball, the thrill of the opening number, and the quiet beauty of Victoria's solo when I first saw
Cats. Nor will I forget the majesty of "Masquerade" or the grace of the ballet sequences in
Phantom. Thank you for all of that and more, Dame Gillian.
