Broadway Boys: Mr. September 2011: Nick Verina

Mr. Broadway September 2011
Nick Verina

WHY HE'S MR. BROADWAY: In Follies, one of its most popular and enduring songs is "Broadway Baby."  Nick Verina is a true Broadway Baby, making his Broadway debut later this month in the revival of Follies at the Marquis Theatre, playing Young Ben.  Like most actors, Nick has had a varied career on stages all over the country before his Main Stem debut.  He has appeared regionally in Forbidden Broadway:SVU and in the Chicago company of Altar Boys.  In New York, he has appeared at the York Theatre Company, and is one of the co-writers of the New York Musical Theatre Festival entry Balls...The Musical?.  And you might have seen him in the National Tour of Grease with Taylor Hicks.  But it is the move from the Kennedy Center to the Marquis Theatre that makes Nick Verina this month's Mr. Broadway.

INFO:
  • Currently appearing in: Follies at the Marquis Theatre on Broadway.
  • Education: Wright State University - BFA in Theatre, Second City Chicago
  • Other credits: Off-Broadway: That Time of Year, Miss Liberty (both York Theatre Company); The Jerusalem Syndrome, Wallenberg (both New York Musical Theatre Festival - performer), Balls: The Musical? (NYMTF - writer); National Tour: Grease (Sonny); Regional: Forbidden Broadway: Special Victims Unit, Five Course Love, Altar Boyz (Chicago Company - Abraham)
